Disney World Update for May Day

Some pictures showing the development of the Rail Roads WDW section: Crystal Palace, Main Street Station, Haunted Mansion and the newly painted Steam train the Roy O. Disney.  The 3D printed fire hall and 3D printed Lilly Belle paddle wheeler have arrived and will be cleaned up and painted over the summer.

For the Crystal Palace, 15hrs of cleanup was needed before painting and installing window treatments on the 3D printed building.  Front lawn partially installed with future palm trees .

Haunted Mansion now in place on the south end of the WDW plateau

Main Street station has been cleaned up a bit and a first primer coat airbrushed on.  Experimenting with paint colors for the fret work on top.

Future WDW fire hall arrived.  No clean up on this one yet.

The big paddle wheeler arrived too from Gold Rush Bay in San Francisco.  Amazing model, love the details!

Just off the work bench, the Roy O. Disney is almost finished its refurbish and repaint from a former Jupiter paint scheme.

The coaches have been rebuilt, repainted and new decals designed and applied.  Bought the coaches from a local swap meet for a total of $10 !  I think I killed the printer making the decals..........................

Lots of scenery rework to accommodate the new buildings (they are big!) and hide the electrical controls for the motorized rides and all the new lighting.  This section is now called the 'WDW plateau' (Giza Plateau?), is about 8ft long by 6ft wide and is approximately 20% of the total railroad square footage.  Maybe I have problems.

Fairground lighting underway.

Update for Apr 16:

Given the cold -20's C outside, decided to spend some quality time indoors and get the lighting of the fair grounds underway.

The beer garden:
Break dance ride:
LED wire installed on the Swinger ride and the Mad Tea Cup ride lit up.

Next on the plan is the carocelle that is currently sitting dark.  Bottom right is the future home of the Crazy Clown ride.

After 8hrs, the carocelle has its base done and lighting in place.

Fairground update April 2022

Lots of pandemic time spent on the fair grounds.

One of the fair ground layout being considered, it is very fluid at the moment.

Getting closer to the final configuration

New cup cake stand under way
Tea cup ride, colors are the same as Walt Disney World.

50+ hand painted figures at the beer garden

The gang from South Park getting first coats of paint

Old Curiosity Shop

As Charles Dickens is my favorite author, I decided to make the The Old Curiosity Shop for the layout.

More to come as lighting and interior details to be added.

All of the parts were from recycled buildings.

Google Earth helps a lot with details of the building
